About Us - Leadership

Bruce and Kye Forsee

Pastor - Bruce Forsee, Ph.D.

Pastor Forsee has served as pastor of Alexandria Bible Church since 1989. He grew up in Colorado, a state he still loves. He's a thankful husband, married to Kye (also from Colorado), and a proud father of four wonderful children, all of whom have been or still are being home-schooled. Bruce and Kye also are enjoying being grandparents of six.

Through raising their children, the pastor and his wife developed a passion for a parenting ministry to other families. Raising children is a difficult task, and God has entrusted the job of parenting to parents, not professionals. Therefore, he and Kye periodically co-teach a parenting class which gives not only the biblical principles but also practical advice on raising obedient, happy children.

Seeing a dearth of clear teaching from Scripture in many modern churches, Pastor Forsee entered the ministry burdened to communicate clearly God's Word to believers.

Because God uses His Word, not man's ideas, to transform people, Pastor Forsee endeavors to derive all his teaching from the Bible. His doctoral dissertation was on the believer's union with Jesus Christ and how that union affects every aspect of our lives. Pastor Forsee recently discovered that he's a 9th generation descendent of a Huguenot preacher, and he continues preaching in the Reformed tradition.

In his spare time, he enjoys such things as fishing, paintball, riding his motorcycle, and, of course, spending time with his grandchildren.
